1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using cvee ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

cvee is an online platform that allows users to create, edit, and export professional CVs and resumes. The Service includes a CV editor with multiple templates, AI-powered content suggestions, PDF and DOCX export, and shareable CV links.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Subscription Plans

cvee offers two plans:

  • Free Plan: Includes up to 2 CVs, access to 3 templates, and PDF export with a watermark. No payment required.
  • Pro Plan (€5/month): Includes unlimited CVs, access to all 12 templates, PDF and DOCX export without watermark, AI-powered suggestions, full customisation, and shareable CV links.

5. Payment and Billing

Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. All prices are in Euros and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payment is due at the start of each billing cycle.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • Your Pro features will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
  • After the billing period ends, your account will revert to the Free plan.
  • Your CVs will not be deleted, but access to Pro-only templates will be restricted.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you are entitled to a refund due to a service issue, please contact support.

7. User Content and Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create using the Service, including your CV data, text, and any uploaded images. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its systems.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service.

  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
  • Use the Service to create false, misleading, or fraudulent CVs.
  • Abuse the AI suggestion feature by submitting inappropriate or harmful content.

9. AI-Powered Features

Our AI suggestion feature uses third-party AI services (Google Gemini, OpenAI, and xAI Grok) to generate content recommendations. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated suggestions are provided as-is and may not always be accurate or appropriate.

  • AI suggestions are subject to rate limits and availability.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, templates, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by cvee and protected by intellectual property laws. Our CV templates are licensed to you for personal use only. You may not redistribute, sell, or sublicence our templates or any part of the Service.

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We are not responsible for the outcome of any job application made using a CV created with our Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless cvee, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to other users or the Service. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the Member State in which cvee is established. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the competent courts of that jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer under applicable mandatory consumer protection laws.
